- Two-component substrate for detection of alkaline phosphatase
- Reagent A (AP EU) (Product Code: APBA) is colorless to faint blue in color

- Produces a broad spectra mono-di-tetrazolium complex forming a hetero-formazan complex (HFC)
- Read in the 490 nm to 650 nm range
- Reagent B (AP Thiozol) (Product Code: APTB) is yellow in color and has a slight medicinal fragrance
- Substrate produces a dark blue-purple soluble product upon reaction with alkaline phosphatase

- Read in the 450 nm to 550 nm range
- Reagent B (AP INTX) (Product Code: APIX) is colorless to slight yellow in color
