BioFX® Chemiluminescent AP Substrates

Five BioFX® chemiluminescent formulations are available for the detection of alkaline phosphatase (AP). These products offer ultra-high or routine detection based on dioxetane chemistry with detection potential to attogram sensitivity. These products are stable for a minimum of 24 months at 2°C to 8°C and are easy-to-use, one-component formulations.

Product Description

  • Dioxetane-based chemistry
  • Can detect alkaline phosphatase (AP) enzyme at attogram levels in a period of a few minutes
  • 10 to 20 times more sensitive than typical dioxetane chemiluminescent reagents
  • Designed for wavelengths with maximum emission at 450 nm or 540 nm
  • Contain no organic solvents
  • Provide low background with high signal-to-noise ratios
  • Create a steady glow with a long-lasting light emission without signal decay for up to four hours
  • Convenient, ready-to-use, one-component formulations
  • Can be used in automatic or manual systems with a wide (5 to 6 log) dynamic range
  • Detection platforms can include a wide variety of solid- and solution-phase applications

Ultra Sensitive vs. Super Sensitive Formulations

The two Ultra Sensitive formulations contain a signal enhancer that provides increased sensitivity. Customers are encouraged to test both formulations to determine which products work best in their specific assay.

BioFX AP Chemiluminescent Product Comparison

The BioFX Ultra reagents with enhancers demonstrate approximately two times higher signals than the BioFX Super substrates, but all reagents demonstrate extreme sensitivity. Standard curves and signal-to-noise ratios are excellent, and nearly the same for all substrates.
